Motivated by the transformative and inclusive characteristics of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a group of individuals has taken the initiative to establish the Citizen’s Platform for SDGs, Bangladesh . Their primary aim is to actively contribute to the achievement of SDGs and enhance accountability throughout the implementation process. The platform functions as a collaborative network, bringing together civil society organizations, private sector actors, and government agencies, all dedicated to addressing the needs of disadvantaged groups and communities across the country, thereby fostering greater societal progress and sustainable development. WHAT WE DO? The Platform offers an opportunity to monitor the advancement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) delivery, raise awareness among policymakers about the challenges in implementation, enhance transparency in the implementation process, and foster the exchange of information and coordination among individuals and organizations dedicated to SDG initiatives in Bangladesh. Additionally, the Platform facilitate collaboration among relevant stakeholders, enabling them to work towards the betterment of underprivileged communities, such as ethnic groups and people with disabilities, with a particular focus on achieving SDG 16.
